Detachable Trailer Hitch
The tow hitch consists of three main sections: cross member, ball mount and a 2inch diameter ball. The bodywork of the car has been prepared for this installation. The ball mount is very simple to use. If you want to remove it, to make space for another of our towbar-mounted accessories, you simply remove a spring pin. If you choose not to have the ball or one of our other accessories installed, we have a neat cover plug, to cover up the hole in the cross member. To provide the best protection from corrosion the towing bracket has been ED treated and powder coated. The ball section is zinc coated and ED treated. In addition, this towing hitch complies with the same requirements for quality and durability as the rest of the Volvo towbar range. It is designed with conventional welding, for optimal strength and towing capacity. The anchorage for the safety cables/safety chains is clearly located and is easily accessible.
